Civil Engineering is one of the broadest engineering disciplines. Below are some examples of tasks involving a civil engineer:
- Design, construction and inspection of residential and commercial buildings, bridges, dams, roads, infrastructure
- Ground water and drinking water quality and safety
- Design and maintenance of various modes of transportation
- Development of solutions to various environmental issues such as waste disposal and pollution control
