Welcome to the Learning Resource Center (LRC) at Los Angeles Mission College. We offer learning assistance, topic-specific workshops, and review sessions -- all free of charge! These resources serve all of our students and are designed for the successful completion of your classes, programs, and certificates.

Our mission is to coach our students in all stages of their learning process. Through collaborative, interactive, and individualized tutoring sessions, we want you to become better students and -- later -- successful professionals!

Our Tutoring Centers

We offer learning assistance for a variety of subjects:

Please note:

  • Learning support is based on tutor availability and is subject to change without notice. 
  • We do not offer tutoring for courseware/software or applications used in your coursework. Please contact your instructor to schedule an office hour appointment for one-on-one support.

 

Writing Center

The Writing Center is located on the main campus's first floor of the Library/LRC building for help with all your written assignments and general tutoring for non-STEM courses.

Hours of Operation

We can help with:

  • MLA and APA formatting
  • Brainstorming
  • Organizing your ideas
  • Polishing your paragraphs, essay drafts, and more!

Our Proof-Reading Policy

We're not proof-readers, so we can't correct your grammar and spelling for you. However, we strongly recommend using NetTutor's paper drop-off center, Microsoft Word, or other applications such as Grammarly or ChatGPT to review your grammar and spelling.

Located on the East Campus in the Center for Math and Science building (first floor).

Math Tutoring Center, CMS-121

  • Monday - Thursday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Science Tutoring Center, CMS-127

  • Mondays and Wednesdays: 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Fridays and Saturdays: ONLINE
