CHICANO STUDIES

Student Organizations

M.E.Ch.A.
M.E.Ch.A is a student organization that promotes higher education, culture and history. M.E.Ch.A was founded on the principles of self-determination for the liberation of our people. We believe that political involvement and education is the avenue for change in our society. M.E.Ch.A is grounded in a philosophy, not a nationality. It is a movement, working with all those who acknowledge and work towards the betterment of La Raza, regardless of ethnicity.

M.E.Ch.A meetings are held on Wednesdays at 1:00PM in “El Centro” Bungalow #6.
