MISSION COLLEGE TO HOST LOCAL CONTRACTORS’ FAIR

Mission College in Sylmar will host an information session for local contractors interested in bidding for planned projects under the Proposition A and Proposition AA improvement programs.

The Contractors’ Fair will be held January 27 in the college’s Campus Center from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Contractors interested in attending should contact Michele Walters, LAMC Project Management Office, (818) 367-7236. There is no cost to attend.

Information about construction projects planned in the immediate future at Mission College will be available. Those attending also will receive information about the bidding process, insurance, and other bond requirements.

“We really want to make this information available to as many of our local contractors and construction companies as possible,” said Luis Cruz, LAMC project director.

Voter-approved Proposition A (2001) and Proposition AA (2003) will enable Mission College to add much-needed facilities and new classrooms, as well as to make campus improvements to better serve its 8,000 students.

Mission College is located at 13356 Eldridge Avenue in Sylmar.
