Every Los Angeles Mission College student has access to a success coach to support you throughout your educational journey. Our coaches can assist you with any questions you may have about financial aid, admissions & records, enrolling in classes, and more!
You can speak with a coach on Zoom from 9:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, or email findyourpathwaycoach@lamission.edu, and someone will reply back shortly.

Choose a Pathway
A Career and Academic Pathway is organized based on areas of interest, similarities in coursework, and career pathways. Think of a Pathway as a bucket of majors with similar course requirements and related career paths. Our Pathways include:

Log Into Your Student Portal
If you have completed your application, you will have received a welcome email from Mission College that includes your Student ID Number. You will need a Student ID Number to log into the Student Portal.
Your Student Portal allows you to:
- Access your assigned student email account
- Check your registration appointment date
- Add and drop classes
- See your class schedule and grades
- Pay your fees
- View your unofficial transcripts
First Time Login
Follow these instructions only if this is your FIRST time logged into the Student Portal. Review the information below to learn how to use your Student Login Name and the Default Password Format:
Example student ID’s: 881234567 or 901234567
All student default passwords consist of:
- 88@
- + the first character of your last name (capitalized)
- + the month and day of your birthdate (MMDD)
For Example, Jane Doe, who was born on July 4th, their default password would be: 88@D0704
Don't forget to change your password to something more memorable once you log in!

Apply for Financial Aid
Apply between October 1st and March 2nd to maximize your potential award.

Step 4
Complete Orientation
Learn about college programs, requirements, services, campus resources, academic expectations, and institutional procedures. Orientation can be completed online and is a requirement for all new students. A Student ID Number is required to sign in.
Step 5
Meet with a Counselor
- Get guidance with required courses, degree, certificate, or transfer requirements.
- Learn about campus resources & support programs, social support, and motivation.
- Obtain a mandatory Abbreviated or Comprehensive Student Education Plan to enroll in classes.
Step 6
Enroll in Classes
Once you receive your Abbreviated or Comprehensive Student Education Plan from Counseling, you're ready to enroll! For quick reference, your Education Plan will be loaded into your Student Portal.
- Log into the Student Portal
- Click on "Manage Classes"
- Click on "Class Search and Enroll" and Select Term
- Search for a Class and Click on “>” then select a class and click “>”
- On the top right-hand corner, click on “Next”
- Click “Accept” then on the next page, select Enroll and Submit
If you see a Green Check Mark, you have successfully enrolled.
