Update for Monday, January 13
We are set to reopen tomorrow, including our Pacoima location. Classes and Student Services will resume in-person.. Please notify your instructor as soon as possible if you need extra accommodations.
The Child Development Center will be open tomorrow for indoor activities. Students and employees are encouraged to check their messages often for any changes. Kinesiology and Kinesiology Athletics classes will meet in person at their regularly scheduled meeting locations.
The situation remains fluid, and please know that further updates may occur.
To ensure your safety and comfort, N95 masks will be available at the following locations:
- SSAB – 1st floor lobby by the stairs
- CAI – 1st floor entrance by the Student Store
- LRC – main level by the help desk
- CMS – Main level by the C-store by front entrance
- HFAC – 1st floor lobby by the stairs
If situations change, we will notify you through our emergency communication channels.

January 10 Update
In light of recent updates regarding the fires, all LACCD colleges will continue remote services and convert all in-person classes and support services to Zoom or online platforms for Friday, January 10th, and Saturday, January 11th.
This means that all LAMC campuses—including our Pacoima location—are closed for in-person activities.
- Students: If you are enrolled in in-person classes, please be prepared to attend your class online or via Zoom. Your instructor will provide the necessary details.
- Employees: If your job cannot be performed remotely, please discuss options with your supervisor.
We anticipate returning to normal operations on Monday, January 13th. However, this remains a dynamic situation, and we encourage everyone to monitor this page for any college specific updates or changes.
January 9 Update
All LACCD colleges will be closed on Thursday, January 9. All in-person classes and support services will move to Zoom or online. Visit laccd.edu for more information.
January 8
Los Angeles Mission College campus will be temporarily closed on Wednesday, January 8 due to the Hurst/Sylmar fire.
Classes will continue as scheduled: in-person classes and Student Services will be conducted online. Instructors will reach out to students with further details.
9 am Update: Power is out at East Campus. All in-person classes are transitioning to virtual classrooms at this time.
10 am Update: Our Pacoima location is also temporarily closed.
