1976: 1st Graduating Class
29 students graduated at Commencement on June 17, 1976
1976: Free Spirits

1980: Campus Center Opens
First “Campus Center” opens at 1212 San Fernando Road
1980: New LAMC Logo Introduced
The new LAMC logo was introduced on November 6, 1980
1982: 4,000 Student Enrollments
Student Enrollment climbed to 4,000 in just six years
1988: Groundbreaking
Main Campus Groundbreaking Ceremony in 1988
1991: Encino Man
Encino Man was filmed on campus in 1991

1997: First Online Class
English 101 was offered online in Winter 1997
1997: LRC Opens
The Learning Resource Center & Library opened in 1997
2010: Gov. Schwarzenegger
Governor Schwarzenegger signs SB 1440 & AB 2302 at LAMC
2011: Culinary Building
The Culinary Arts Institute Building opened in 2011
2012: CMS Building Opens
The Center for Math & Science Building opened in 2012
2016: Health Center
The Student Health Center opened in July of 2016
2017: AMP Building Opens
The Arts, Media & Performance Building opened in 2017
