Commencement for the Class of 2022

Save the Date and join us for the Class of 2022 Commencement on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 4 p.m.


We encourage all graduates to attend the Graduation Rehearsal on Monday, June 6th from 3 - 4:30 p.m. Graduates should report to the Campus Center.

Order Your Cap & Gown

To order your Cap and Gown, please visit the Student Store online. The Student Store recommends that you visit in person to ensure a good fit. The deadline to order your Cap and Gown is Wednesday, June 1.

Pick Up Your Free Graduation Cords

ASO Spirit Cords:
ASO has Spirit Cords available to all graduates of the 2022 class. Simply stop by the ASO office or pick them up at the graduation rehearsal.

Transfer Center Cords:
The Transfer Center has a limited number of Transfer Recognition Cords available. Use your LACCD email to forward your Spring 2022/Fall 2022 University acceptance letter from the campus you plan to transfer@lamission.edu and include the following:

  • Your first and last name
  • LAMC student ID
  • Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT): Yes or No, if Yes include your ADT major
  • Major at University
  • Phone number

Petition to Graduate

The deadline to petition to graduate has passed.

All students who have already completed a petition to graduate with their counselor for Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 will receive a confirmation from the graduation office. Please check your email in April for instructions on how to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Additional LACCD Graduation Celebrations

Black Graduation Celebration: The Los Angeles Community College District African American Outreach Initiative program (LACCD-AAOI) is proud to announce our 12th annual Black Graduation Celebration on May 24, 2022. The BGC is a culturally affirming celebration of academic achievement. This year's event will be in-person following the latest Covid-19 state and local guidelines.

Lavender Graduation Ceremony: Celebrating our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) student graduates. This ceremony takes place May 17 at 4 p.m.

Mi Gente Graduation Celebration: On June 5 at 4 p.m., for the first time in our District’s history, the Mi Gente Graduation Celebration brings together Latino students and their families from all nine college campuses to celebrate our students’ educational achievement in a cultural celebration that reflects our Latino diversity, music, language, and nationalities.
