Welcome to the Learning Resource Center (LRC) at Los Angeles Mission College. We offer learning assistance (both individual and group), topic-specific workshops, review sessions, and mock exams -- all free of charge! These resources serve all of our students and are designed for the successful completion of your classes, programs, and certificates.

Our mission is to coach our students in all stages of their learning process. Through collaborative, interactive, and individualized tutoring sessions, we want you to become better students and -- later -- successful professionals!

Please Note:

  • Learning support is based on tutor availability and is subject to change without notice. 

  • We do not offer tutoring for courseware/software or applications used in your coursework. Please contact your instructor to schedule an office hour appointment for one-on-one support. 
Writing Center

The Writing Center is located on the first floor of the Library/LRC building on the main campus for help with all your written assignments and general tutoring for non-STEM courses. Meet with tutors one-on-one or in groups for assistance on campus or online!

While we work to foster success in the short-term learning goals our students bring to us, we believe in the LRC's ability to promote long-term academic success and create lifelong learners. Therefore, the Writing Center staff cannot proofread your papers or fix your grammar/syntax. For more assistance, please use NetTutor's paper drop-off center, Microsoft Word, or other applications such as Grammarly. 

STEM Tutoring Center

STEM students can meet with tutors one-on-one or in groups for assistance in the STEM Tutoring Center located on the East Campus at the Center for Math and Science (CMS) building. We offer support for mathematics in CMS-121 and science in CMS-127. Don't have time to stop by? Visit us online!
