Welcome to Art History!
In Art 101 we will examine the history of Western Art from the cave paintings of France and Spain to the cathderals of Europe. We will study the history of art chronologically and examine the ways in which contemporary political, scientific, and social events affect art. On this website you will find listings of art events and exhibitions in Los Angeles that relate to material covered in class, extra-credit opportunities, and exam study questions from our course work. Special notices and dates for exams and field trips will be posted here as well. I hope that you will find this class in art history to be interesting, enriching, and rewarding.
