Welcome

Dear ESL 4A Students,

Welcome to spring semester!  I look forward to meeting you and helping you improve your English writing and grammar this semester.  Please remember that you must attend class on the first day of school (Monday, February 4th), or you will be dropped from the class.

The class is currently full.  There is a maximum of 40 students allowed.  If you are trying to ADD THE CLASS: You must attend the first day of class. Your name will be added to the class wait list.  If any registered students do not show up the first day of class, they will be dropped and I will take names from the wait list to replace them.  You must stay until the end of class.  I will check names again at the end of class.  If space is available in the class, I will hand out add slips on the second day of class.  I will not add anyone before that time.   I can only add students if there is space available. 

You will need two textbooks for ESL 4A.  You can purchase them in the LAMC bookstore, or you may be able to purchase them on-line.  Please plan to have your books ready for the first week of class.

There also is a class packet of handouts in the student store and a weekly newspaper called "News For You" which you must purchase in the LAMC bookstore.
