that organization. I have been a guest speaker at various state
organizations, held seminars on communication effectiveness, tutored many individuals from all walks of life, and
I am presently working on my California state certification to teach on-line classes. I
have been fortunate to interact with a wide
diversity of student populations with varied cultural backgrounds, and
love teaching.
Pedagogy:
My focus is on empowering people to better communicate their wonderful
ideas. In my classes, you learn to give yourself permission to overcome
your fear of public speaking. You learn that attitude is more important
than aptitude and you learn that you CAN do it. You learn that the
only way you grow is by giving yourself permission to make mistakes.
You learn organizational skills that will assist you in all walks of
life. In short, you become empowered to capably speak to ANY audience
on any occasion. You will be able to inform about topics of interest to
you, to persuade your target audience when you set policy, give
specific actions to take, and you learn the art of speaking on special
occasions. You learn that everything we wear, do, say and don't say communicates.
Verbal and nonverbal communication must work together. So...come join me on the wonderful journey to successful communicating!! Think positively!! You CAN do it! YOU ARE AWESOME!!
Assistance:
I will be happy to write a letter of recommendation for you as you move on in your academic careers. I ask that you request your letter in a timely manner so I have time to reflectively respond. My best to you!!
