3.Paper: Museum Visit

Visit: The student shall first ‘clear’ with me a visit to an art or cultural
museum in the Los Angeles area. Write a three-four page paper (250 words per page) describing the
physical properties of the museum itself, and highlight the various types of
artwork/cultural objects observed. Include your own observations of the
artwork/culture as it relates to the lectures and material in the texts: Due
no later than ONE WEEK from the end of the semester. NO EXCEPTIONS!
4. Extra Credit:Extra credit is
with prior approval of the
instructor . You may select an approved event related to this
course and write up to three typed pages (250 words a page) analyzing one
aspect of the event (pop cultural activities are not acceptable). Please
include your admission ticket.
5 . Incompletes: An incomplete will be granted only under extreme
circumstances. Any student who fails to notify the instructor after missing the
final exam will be given a "P" for the final exam and the final grade
will be computed accordingly.
Attendance:Students may be
dropped from the class with more than

plagiarizing will receive a "0" on the exam
or paper. Expulsion from the class is an option for the instructor.
