                Final draft: 4-5 pages typed.  Due 4/12 (staple all worksheets and drafts behind)

Choose two characters (that were not discussed at length in your analysis paper) from Cutting for Stone.

Compare and  contrast two characteristics/qualities about them. Discuss what those qualities represent, show (generously), teach. Look at what a similar quality reveals about them, about life, about problem-solving, about family, etc.

Remember to dedicate an entire paragraph analyzing one similarity and/or difference between the two, and what that between-ness (so to speak) means/shows/reveals (etc).

From your conclusions, draw a thesis statement.
