I dropped your lowest one HW score, one lowest QUIZ score, and one lowest TEST score. Contact me if you have any questions.

1) In case you missed the class on Thursday:
a) Get a 70% or above on Practice Test 6 then I will add 5 pts to your actual Test 6 (this is an extra credit in addition to the extra credit on syllabus).
b) Get a 70% or above on Practice Final then I will add 5 pts to your actual Final exam. Remember the final exam is worth 2 tests (25% of the total semester grade).
2) Bring a blue book Tuesday (on 5/24) and we'll meet in the library on that day.
3) Bring a blue book for final on either 5/24, 5/26, or 5/31. On the final you will have 34 questions, but I will provide additional paper/scratch paper for you if you need. You only need to bring one blue book for the final.
4) On 5/26 we will review every key concept we learned.
5) On 5/31, our final is scheduled 8pm-10pm, same place in the library. On that day I will be in Math Center around 5-7:40 pm.
6) On 5/31, formulas for Chp 9 Sec 3 will be provided. A flash card up to 5 formulas may be used.

Practice Test for Final is now available. Get at least 1 passing score (up to 10 attempts) on the practice final and I will add 5 points to your actual final exam!

I will be on campus, in the Math Center on Thursday afternoon (4/7/2011) 5 pm. If you would like to visit me at an earlier time on that afternoon, please let me know. On 4/12 we will have Test #4.

Coming to class meetings is just the minimum requirement of this course. One will not pass just because he/she attends all class meetings. The passing grade is 70%. You have access of your own overall grade on MyMathLab.

I added extra 5 pts to those who qualify. Remember:
Attendance(7pm at your seat until 8:25) + 100% Hw + 85% Quiz = 5 pts on exam.

I'd like to inform you again that you can view your overall grade on MyMathLab. If you don't see it, let me know.
You want to check out the class calendar (

There is a holiday next Thursday, and it's recommended that you use that day to catch up. Although we might not have time to go over Test #3 in class, you are encouraged to come to my office hour (make sure you know where I am), or make appointment with me, to go over your results.
If you want me to provide some more exercises, please email me to request so. I did that for a few of you. The Practice Test is always a good source to check your progress.

I have read many of your documentation of notes/homework/quiz tonight while you took Test #2. If you forgot to bring to me today, please bring it next time.
We need to work hard! Spend your time practicing the exercises. If you need help, go to Math Center for free tutoring or make use of my office hour and after-class time. Remember: This is a 3-unit class, and you are expected to spend
at least 6 extra hours outside the class. If there is a conflict or any concern, please contact me.
