RETIREMENT EVENT SET FOR
LONGTIME MISSION COLLEGE EDUCATOR

A retirement party has been scheduled for longtime Mission College educator and administrator Carlos Nava, who is leaving the campus he helped found 27 years ago.

Nava, vice president for student services at Mission College, is retiring after 34 years with the Los Angeles Community College District. The retirement event will take place on Friday, May 17, at the Braemar Country Club in Tarzana. Nava's many friends from throughout the northeast San Fernando Valley are invited to attend. Tickets are $30 for Mission College employees and students, and $40 for all others. For ticket reservations, call Ludi Villegas at (818) 364-7643.

Carlos Nava has been with Mission College since its founding in 1975, when it operated out of San Fernando storefronts and leased facilities. Mission College's present, ultra-modern campus opened its doors in 1991.
