MISSION COLLEGE INVITES
PUBLIC,
EMPLOYERS TO FALL JOB FAIR
Nearly 30 employers representing
finance and banking, government agencies, law enforcement and security,
the health care industry and community organizations, will take part in
Los Angeles Mission Colleges spring Job Fair on November 5.
The public is invited to attend the event, which will run from 9:30 to
11:30 a.m. in the colleges Campus Center.
Businesses interested in participating may do so by contacting Geri Shapiro,
coordinator of the Tech Prep program, at (818) 364-7674. Employers must
register in advance. There is a registration fee.
The event provides an excellent opportunity for Mission College students
and members of the northeast San Fernando Valley community to connect
with potential employers. Employers who participate generally are recruiting
future employees, or are searching for immediate full-time or part-time
workers.
Students and job seekers alike should bring copies of their resumes to
give to employers.
The Job Fair is held in conjunction with Focus on Careers Day, which provides
Mission College students with an opportunity to meeting with vocational
department representatives. This portion of the event is also open to
the public.
Mission College is located at 13356 Eldridge Avenue in Sylmar.
