NUTRITION EXPERT TO SPEAK
AT
LOS ANGELES MISSION COLLEGE
Dr. Michael Hirt, director
of Integrative Medicine Programming at Encino-Tarzana Hospital and assistant
clinical professor at UCLA, will discuss nutrition and obesity during
a guest lecture at Los Angeles Mission College.
Dr. Hirt, a co-founder and chief medical officer of MyBestHealth, Inc.,
will speak at the Sylmar community college campus on March 28 at 3 p.m.
The public is invited and there is no admission fee.
As a member of the UCLA Clinical Faculty, Dr. Hirt teaches nutrition to
medical students and residents. He has long held the belief that nutrition
greatly impacts the ability of the body to fight disease and achieve optimal
health.
Dr. Hirt obtained his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed
his Internal Medicine training while conducting medical research at UCLA.
He then pursued specialty training at UCLAs prestigious Center for
Human Nutrition, and he is board certified in both Internal Medicine and
Nutrition.
Dr. Hirts address will culminate Nutrition Awareness Week at Mission
College.
