More than 500 people were on hand to congratulate participants in Mission College’s specially funded programs (SFP’s). They were recognized at the annual culmination ceremony held on June 8. SFP’s are programs supported by grants and funding from federal, state and local government agencies. They allow Mission College to provide education and training to low income students, the unemployed, foster children, parents in need of child care, and others. Farisa Morales (first photo below), a researcher at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and a graduate of Mission College, was guest speaker at the event.
