Mission
College celebrated its 30th anniversary with a Dinner by the Fountain
on Saturday, October 1. About 250 guests attended the twilight affair,
including LACCD Chancellor Rocky Young, former Mission College presidents
Jack Fujimoto and Dan Means, and Assembly Member Cindy Montañez.
It was 1975 when Mission College opened its doors in storefronts in
San Fernando, remaining an itinerant college for the next 16 years.
The college finally moved to its present, permanent home in 1991 and
today enrolls more than 7,000 students. |
