Honor awards for the Spring 2012 semester were presented on November 15, 2012 to LAMC students who earned outstanding scholastic achievement. Awards were presented by President Monte E. Perez, Dean of Student Services Ludi Villegas-Vidal, and faculty members Janice Silver and Margie Long. Associated Student Organization President Michael Griggs spoke at the ceremony as well as President of Alpha Gamma Sigma and President of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars Janet Romero. Vice President of Student Services Joe S. Ramirez called the ceremony to order and introduced Academic Senate President Angela Echeverri who served as Mistress of Ceremonies. Thanks and appreciation to the following individuals who volunteered to assist at the ceremony: CalWORKs Director Angela Aghajanian, Transfer/Career Center Counselor/Coordinator Tashini Walker, and student Mario Juarez.
