Los Angeles Mission College held its annual Holiday Party on December 8 at 11:30 a.m. in the Campus Center. Over 200 faculty and staff attended this wonderful celebration along with Deputy Chancellor Barrera and team from the District Office. Soloist Byron Burns, brother of Crystal Henderson, sang ‘Sweet Little Jesus Boy’ followed by student Shannon Guardardo who sang ‘My Favorite Things.’ Shannon’s daughters Monet, 10, and Genesis, 8, showed off their talent singing solo ‘I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus’ and ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town.’ Everyone joined in the festivities as gifts donated for the Holiday Party were raffled. Faculty and staff waited anxiously as Master of Ceremonies Vilma Bernal called the winning tickets.
