Life Sciences Department

At left is a microarray, a plate with about 2,500 small wells that allow a scientist to study the turning on and turning off of genes. This technology will become increasingly used in the life sciences and in medicine to improve the life of people.
The first half of the 21st century will witness an explosion in our understanding of life that few can comprehend today. No academic or career field will be able to match the excitement and thrill of the Life Sciences. The Department of Life Sciences strives to provide the highest quality education for student seeking: a general education; transfer to a univeristy to study life science; pursuit of a career in the allied health sciences.
