Writing Lab/Tutors
The writing lab provides a welcoming learning environment for you to work on the development of writing assignments such as summaries, book reports, research papers, etc. Come to the lab to brainstorm, write the first draft, or edit your final paper. You can work on your own or gather in a small group; you will always have a helping hand available if you get stuck. The lab is staffed with patient and qualified tutors and instructors who have the knowledge and experience to help you succeed in class.
The lab has 8 computers equipped with reading and writing programs to brush up your academic skills. All computers have Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; you can print your documents and pick them up at the LC Print center. Note: you must bring a floppy disk, CD, or flash drive if you want to save your work. All computers have Internet access. Additional resources in the writing lab include textbooks used in different classes (old and current editions), reference books, and dictionaries.
