Learning Center
ESL Tutoring
The Learning Center has had an ESL tutoring program for many years, therefore, we have many resources that can be combined with the experience of our tutors to help students of English as a Second Language as they learn the language and move on to take college classes to finish their careers.
Resources available for ESL students include:
Reading materials (in the reading lab):
- SRA: Reading Laboratory
- Specific Skills Series A - Z
- Word Power
- Reading Strategies
- Language Clues
- ESL Readers
The ESL or the Reading tutor can help you understand the reading materials in the lab and/or the reading from your textbooks. Feel free to bring your class textbook or any other reading to the lab and ask for help if you get stuck at some point.
Computer Programs:
- PLATO Web Learning
- Side by Side
