Los Angeles Mission College, located in Sylmar, California, (in the San Fernando Valley, close to the 118 and 210 freeways) is presently hiring part-time Developmental Communications/Learning Skills instructors for the fall semester, which begins September 4, 2007. Open classes include Dev. Com 1, grammar as applied to sentence writing, and Dev. Com. 36A, intermediate reading and study skills.

Minimum Qualifications
A master’s degree in education, educational psychology, or instructional psychology, or other master’s degree with emphasis in adult learning theory.

Salary
Part-time faculty are paid a flat rate of $68.13 per hour. Candidates with a doctorate degree earn an additional $1.67 per hour.
