	Sylmar Pumpkin Patch Saturday, October 20th 12:00 - 4:00pm visit the Sylmar Pumpkin Patch to take part of the following special events: - Pumpkin Carving by Master Chef Gilligan - Pie Sale (Pumpkin pie, Sweet Potato Pie, Pecan Pie) - Cooking Demo by skilled LAMC chefs Our hours are: Monday - Friday 3 pm - 9 pm Saturday - Sunday 10 am - 10 pm and we are located on Eldridge & Pasha -- right by the sheriff's station!
	Potluck With Policymakers Join us in the Arroyo Faculty Dining Room from 4pm to 6pm on Thursday, October 25th. Bring your favorite dish -- it can be cultural food or comfort food -- as long as it's homegrown.
	Sylmar Olive Festival El Cariso Park Sept 1 - 3, 2012 12:00 - 8:-00 "Sylmar" : Did you know that the name "Sylmar" roughly translated means "Ocean of Olives" ? Well, it is in our history! This year the Los Angeles Mission College Foundation is taking on the feat of reviving the historic Olive Festival so that the whole community can come together to celebrate in our history. The Festival will be a chance for some last summer fun; there will be food and music and an all-around GREAT time to be had! Come and Join us! 	Springfest 2012 Los Angeles Mission College Campus Center Saturday, May 12, 2012 2:00pm - 6:00pm The Los Angeles Mission College Foundation sponsors a number of events each year on behalf of the College and its students. Our most successful fundraiser is our Springfest Food & Wine Festival and this year's theme is Mediterranean Cuisine. The event is sponsored by businesses in and around the community and is attended by more than 400 people. Each year the students in our Award-winning Culinary Arts Institute under the guidance of Chef Rudy Garcia, entertain the guests with spectacular dishes. Enjoy the finest wines from all over California. Experience the rich and diverse flavors of the Mediterranean prepared by our Award-winning Culinary Arts Institute. The event features delicious regional cuisines, a silent auction, raffles, live entertainment and much more! The event will be held on Saturday, May 12th from 2:00 pm to 6:00pm at the Los Angeles Mission College Campus Center. Tickets are $50.00 at the door and $35 for faculty/staff if purchased before the event. Tickets are tax deductible and Net Proceeds will benefit the LAMC students. The Los Angeles Mission College Foundation’s annual Springfest Food & Wine Festival provides your company or business with a great opportunity for exposure in the northeast San Fernando Valley. By helping us raise scholarship funds for our most deserving students, you also earn a reputation as a friend of education and a community partner.

Keep in mind that a donation or sponsorship of $250 pays a student’s full-time tuition for a semester; $500 pays for two semesters; and $1,000 pays for tuition, fees and most supplies for an entire academic year.
