- Dennis emailed committee
members to let them know that Nina has made some updates to
the morning session presentation and the afternoon Session A.
These updates, along with other important information about the High
School Counselor Workshop are now available on the

information about workshop sites, volunteers, presenters, and the
workshop agenda.

- MONDAY, AUGUST 29: Dennis
will call the committee members who
have indicated interest in sponsoring our committee by providing printed
and premium items to go in the bags at the HS Counselor Workshops.
We need to: 1) confirm the printed item you are using, and 2) go over
options for premium items (we want to insure that we get a variety into
the bag). Also, remember to have someone from your organization
get in touch with Kat Clough, the CASFAA Fund Development person.

- Dennis has posted the
minutes of our
August 4 meeting. An
email will go out to the committee
regarding this and other items, including: workshop sites, fund
development sponsors, and information about the presentations.

- Dennis has added a new web page called
High School Counselor
Workshops - Summary Page. This webpage summarizes all
FINALIZED items of this project.

information about workshop sites, volunteers, presenters, presentations,
and other relevant items.

- Most the
presentation slides have been posted to the website now.
We will be reviewing these at our meeting
THURSDAY, AUGUST 4. Also, the
agenda has been finalized.

- Dennis emailed the committee tonight about our
upcoming meeting set for THURSDAY, AUGUST 4
at Orange Coast College. Our
agenda is posted, along with travel
information and maps.

- Dennis emailed the committee today about
THREE important items: 1)
We need volunteers NOW to help Beryl
and I create the two new presentations we will use at the HS Counselor
Workshops in the afternoon. Volunteers should contact Beryl
directly on this. 2)
We need example AID AWARD LETTERS.
Send these by email to Beryl too. And 3)
the minutes of our June
28th meeting are posted and please read them as there is A LOT of
important and time-sensitive information in it.

- The draft version of
Minutes from our
June 28 meeting have been posted.
Dennis will send an email to the committee about this tomorrow.

- We have rescheduled our August meeting for the
following date: THURSDAY, AUGUST 4,
to be held at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa. Details for the
meeting are on our Meeting Schedule
page. Also, a draft Agenda
is available.

- Dennis sent an email today with instructions on how
to log-in to our committee meeting on
TUESDAY, JUNE 28. Also, some
minor changes were made to the meeting
Agenda.

- Dennis, with the input of a majority of committee
members, has rescheduled our next committee meeting for
TUESDAY, JUNE 28. We will meet from 9am to Noon by conference call. A pre-Agenda
Agenda is available now.
Also, log-in information for the conference call will be emailed to
committee members the week of June 20-24.

- Dennis has posted the
minutes of our May 18 meeting
and updated the individual Project Pages
with corresponding information. An email will be sent today
to the committee about this.

- We will need to reschedule or July meeting and our August meeting dates.
An email on this will go out Thursday, June 2nd.

- Dennis would still like to hear from committee
members interested in working on the FANN
project sub-committee. The sub-committee will meet in
late June or early July (probably by telephone) to go over the initial
plans for FANN. Please
email or call him if interested. He's heard from some members at
the May committee meeting, but would like to make sure no one is
forgotten who may be interested in this cool project.

- Dennis has posted the
Agenda for our
May 18 committee meeting. I
anticipate that our meeting will be rather short, as we have only a few
key items to go over at this time. An
email will be sent today to all committee members with
instructions for using the teleconference service and an abbreviated
agenda.
Also, we will need to reschedule the meeting we
had set for July 21, as the CASFAA min-conferences roll
through LA that day. And lastly,
minutes of our March 30 meeting
have been declared OFFICIAL, as no
substantive changes have been made to them since the minutes have been
posted to the website.

- Dennis has added some additional feedback from
the
NACAC/WACAC College Fairs to the
project webpage. A big
THANK YOU goes out to all the volunteers who helped at the
many fair sites, and to all of you who supplied numbers and commentary
regarding your experiences at the fairs.
Also, we've posted some information for our May
18 committee meeting, using the teleconference feature of CCC
Confer. An email will also be sent to all committee members
the week of May 9-13 regarding the meeting.

- Minutes of
our first meeting
are now available for review. Although they
are a DRAFT version, Dennis believes that they are complete. Any
additions or corrections will be made in the coming week. Also,
information about projects discussed at the meeting has been copied to
the project webpages. Dennis will be sending an email today to let
everyone know about these items.

- A ton of information has
been added to the
webpage for the NACAC/WACAC College Fairs, including directions
to the SoCal and San Fran fairs, feedback on fairs already done, and
other items.

- We anticipate that the minutes from our
first committee meeting (March 30) and other information will be posted
to our website tomorrow, April 15 (tax day!).

- Dennis has added the upcoming committee meeting
dates to the schedule page.
The May 18 and July 21 meetings will be held by
teleconference. The August 10 meeting will be held at
Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa. We will also have one last
meeting in September (date to be determined).

Glendale Community College. Parking permits were faxed to all
members who anticipated attending the meeting. More meeting

- Dennis has posted information about two of our
springtime projects:
--- Assisting CSAC and EdFund in
review of publications
--- Maintaining a permanent CASFAA presence at the NACAC/WACAC
College Fairs
Also, a pre-meeting email will be sent soon about the above topics, as
we cannot wait until our first meeting to start work on these projects.
