- Does this look familiar?
If you applied for financial aid through the 2010-2011 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have an LACCD ID, you should receive a bright green envelope that looks like the one above. Inside you will find your myLACCDcard, which serves as your key to selecting your financial aid disbursement preference at LA Mission College starting this Summer 2010 semester (and for all the other LACCD colleges starting with the Fall 2010 semester).
If you receive your myLACCDcard, visit www.myLACCDcard.com and enter your card number to get started. Have questions? FIRST: READ ALL of the information in your envelope. SECOND: check out www.myLACCDcard.com, where you can find out about the card, the process, and what Higher One and LAMC are offering for our students. THEN, if you still have questions or need help, stop by the Financial Aid Office or give us a call. - Want to know what you can do with your myLACCDcard? Check out the fun series of YouTube videos from Higher One about the company, the card, and all the things you can do now with the myLACCDcard.
- Have you heard about HIGHER ONE? Have you heard about Game Time? Have you heard about the MyLACCDcard coming to LA Mission College this summer?
Here are the short answers to all of the questions above: Higher One is a company the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) has partnered with to bring a simpler, more student-oriented financial aid disbursement process to all of the colleges in the District. To do this, Higher One will issue the MyLACCDcard, a debit MasterCard, to all students receiving financial aid. For LA Mission College students, this will start with the summer 2010 semester. And, to find out more about the MyLACCDcard rollout at LA Mission College, visit the Higher One Game Time website. And, if you help spread the word about the MyLACCDcard, you could win prizes! - The 2010-2011 Board of Governors (BOG) Fee Waiver application is now available online. Click on the link to the left named Apply for a Fee Waiver to find the form you need.
- "Paper" Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms are no longer available at colleges, universities, high schools and libraries. Students are advised to apply for financial aid on-line at FAFSA on the Web. FAFSA on the Web worksheets are available at the Financial Aid Office. For the 2010-2011 FAFSA on the Web worksheet, you can download and print the PDF version here. If you wish to apply through the paper FAFSA, call 1-800-4FED-AID (1-800-433-3243) to request a paper FAFSA mailed to your home.
