Dare to Care

Great news! DSPS has set up a way for everyone to learn about how to serve disabled students at LA Mission College.

It’s called "DARE to Care”.  DARE is an interactive multimedia simulative training program.  As a faculty you will learn to identify and understand disabled student issues in their on-campus and Distance Learning classes. And it’s FREE!

There are 4 easy steps:

  1.  Access the interactive training
  2. Print out and submit the DARE Access and Performance Report (See example below).

To receive flex credit for this event, please be sure to fill out the attached Flex form and either email it to climomj@lamission.edu or print it and turn it into Michael Climo’s mailbox at LA Mission College. To document the flex, please print the screen that summarizes the activities you complete. Faculty will receive 30 minutes of flex for every one that is completed with a green cross. Also you can access the program at http://www.lamission.edu/dsps/daretocare.aspx
