The first semester of a calculus-based introductory physics course designed
for engineering and science majors. The general principles of statics
and particle dynamics, harmonic motion are covered. Acceptable for credit:
UCLA; CSUN: Physics 1 + 2 + 3 accepted for Physics 220A + AL or Physics
220B + BL
2 MECHANICS
OF FLUIDS, HEAT, AND SOUND
Prerequisites: Physics 1 and Math 266 | Lecture: 3 hours, lab 3 hours.

electric magnetism fields, theory of circuits and electromagnetic induction

PHYSICS I
(CAN PHYS 2;CANPHYS SEQ A: PHYSICS 6 + 7)
Prerequisite: Math 240 | Lecture: 3 hours, lab 3 hours. UC:CSU 4 UNITS
An introductory course in physics covering mechanics and solids, heat
and sound. This course is designed for the health science majors (Environmental
and Occupational Health, Physical Therapy,Radiologic Technology), Pre-medical,
Pre dental, Pre-optometry, Pre-pharmacy, and Geology majors. Acceptable
for credit: UCLA, CSUN: Physics 100A + 100AL
7 GENERAL
PHYSICS II
(CAN PHYS 4; CANPHYS SEQ A: PHYSICS 6 + 7)
Prerequisites: Physics 6 and Math 240 | Lecture: 3 hours, lab 3 hours.
UC:CSU 4 UNITS
Course is a continuation of Physics 6, covering electricity and magnetism,
light and modern physics. This course is designed for the health science
majors (Environmental and Occupational Health, Physical Therapy, Radiologic
Technology), Pre-medical, Pre-dental, Pre-optometry, Pre-pharmacy, and
Geology majors. Acceptable for credit: UCLA, CSUN: 100 + 100BL.
