5 FUNDAMENTALS OF FIRE PROTECTION
Prerequisite: None | Lecture: 3 hours. CSU 3 UNITS
This course includes information regarding the history, philosophy, and organization of fire prevention as well as the use of fire codes, identification, and corrections of fire hazards.

21 FIRE PROTECTION EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS
Prerequisite: Fire Tech 1 | Lecture: 3 hours. CSU 3 UNITS
Course provides information relating to the features of design and operation of fire detection and alarm systems, heat and smoke control systems,special protection and sprinkler systems, water supply for fire protection, and portable fire extinguishers.

30 FIRE MARSHALL CERTIFICATION: INSTRUCTOR 1A
Prerequisite: None | Lecture: 2 hours. CSU 2 UNITS
This course is the first course in the California State Fire Marshall certification system that leads to becoming a State Fire Training Registered Instructor.
