3 HISTORY OF MOTION PICTURES AND TELEVISION
Prerequisite: None | Lecture: 2 hours, lab 2 hours. UC:CSU 3 UNITS
Same as Th 505. This course includes history of the development of motion pictures, with examples from the silent film to the present day. Emphasis is placed on American feature films. Acceptable for credit: CSUN: CTA 210.

18 MAIN CURRENTS IN MOTION PICTURES
Prerequisite: None | Lecture: 2 hours. UC:CSU 3 UNITS
This course is a critical survey of motion picture as an art form, entertainment industry, and communication medium via screenings, lectures, readings about “classic” contemporary films, American and foreign, theatrical and non-theatrical.
