1 ELEMENTARY ASTRONOMY
Prerequisite: None | Advisory: English 21 | Lecture: 3 hours. UC:CSU 3 UNITS
This course is a journey through space, exploring the galaxies, stars, and planets, with an eye to the origin and proliferation of life in the universe. Acceptable for credit: CSUN: Astronomy 152.

2 ELEMENTARY ASTRONOMY LABORATORY
Prerequisite: None | Corequisite:Astronomy 1 | Lab:2 hours. UC:CSU 1 UNIT RPT1
This course includes use of astronomical instruments, motions of the sky, the celestial sphere, star charts, constellations study, lunar and planetary orbits, spectra of stars and classification of galaxies. Telescopic observations will be made whenever possible. Acceptable for credit: CSUN: Astronomy 154L

5 FUNDAMENTALS OF ASTRONOMY LABORATORY
Prerequisite: Astronomy 1 Lab: 3 hours. UC:CSU 1 UNIT
This course includes use of astronomical instruments, motions of the sky,the celestial sphere,star charts,spectra of stars,observations celestial objects, and classification of galaxies. Telescopic observations will be made whenever possible.
