How do archaeologists reconstruct human history and cultures of the past?
This course will cover methods and theories of understanding and explaining
the origins of human societies including field trips to current local
archaeological sites and hands-on museum experience. Acceptable for credit:

LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION

This is an introductory course in linguistics, which surveys
verbal and non-verbal forms of human communication. Focuses
on the structure, function, and history of language, with selections
on the sociology and psychology of language, language
acquisition, and the origins and evolution of language.
