CWEE/COOPERA TIVE EDUCATION

921, 931 OR 941 WORK EXPERIENCE II, Ill OR IV (CSU) 2, 3 or 4 UNITS
A program providing students with a linkage to their future career success and job placement. This program is open to all students who wish to gain college credit for working toward goals at their job. Students may enroll in this program for up to 4 semesters, a maximum of 4 units per semester. A student may take only one Coop. Ed. section per semester.
CSU generally accepts up to eight (8) Cooperative Education (CWEE) units as electives. Check with the Admissions Office at the college or university you wish to transfer for specific information.
CWEE/Coop. Ed. forms are available at the LAMC Website, or may be purchased in the campus bookstore. All individuals must complete and turn in properly authenticated paperwork within two weeks of the start of the semester or the student will be dropped.

First: Go to lamc.edu then click on student
Second: Go down to programs offered and click on Cooperative Education
Third: Click on the left where it says Forms
Fourth: Print the first 2 pages
Fifth: Bring two (2) blank envelopes with U. S. stamps
All CWEE/Coop. Ed. students must attend at least one mandatory meeting in February and one mandatory meeting in April in order to complete requirements of the class. Required reading and class assignments will be discussed. A student may want to attend more than one meeting and this is at the student's option.

Students must be employed, or in a voluntary job. Two mandatory meetings per semester are required (see times below.) Students may add a Cooperative Education class online or at the Admissions Office during open enrollment |

If you qualify for a BOGG fee waiver, you will not have to pay for taking this course. For information on the BOGG fee waiver, contact the Financial Aid Office.
Students enrolled in CWEE/Coop Ed must work in accordance with the following schedule. Students employed must work at least 75 hours per unit, per semester. For example, a student taking Coop Ed 921 must work at least 150 hours per semester. Students in an unpaid or volunteer position must work at least 60 hours per unit, per semester. A student taking Coop Ed 921 in the unpaid capacity must work at least 120 hours per semester.
