Fall 2003
Benita Bike's Dance Festival
A very unique type of dance, yet very enlightening for those who attended. Thanks to Mr. Pursley for the refreshments.
Regional Fall Conference (November 1st)
The Fall Conference was awesome. It was hosted by Citrus College, located at the foothills of the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains. The Iota chapter of Citrus did a wonderful job of organizing the event and people a lot of fun. Our very own member, Erica, won many raffle prizes after returning to the conference due to a seperate incident. See the Gallery
Honors Reception
Many of our members were recipients of the Dean's awards. Good Job to you all! We also had a good sale of frames.
Spring 2003
77th Annual AGS Spring Conference (April 4-6)
The Spring 2003 AGS regional conference was a blast. It was held at the Ontario DoubleTree Hotel. See the Gallery
Fall 2002
1st Annual AGS Winter Festival
The AGS 1st Annual Winter Festival and Multicultural Dance Preview was on Monday, December 9th from 1-5 PM in the Campus Center Auditorium. A number of dance groups performed, ranging from country line-dancing (led by Computer Science professor Eric Rettke) to Aztec cultural dances.
Halloween Blood Drive & Carnival
The Haunted House was a great success at the Halloween Blood Drive & Carnival. With attractions such as Grim Reaper-in-the-box in addition to a headless man, it served its purpose of scaring trick-or-treaters well. Even the adults were afraid!
Focus on Careers Day
On Wednesday, October 30, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Los Angeles Mission College hosted many high-school students interested in attending a junior college. There was a table for Alpha Gamma Sigma at this event. Vice-President Allan Salinas served as a tour guide, while advisor Professor Mark Pursely ran the AGS table. See the Gallery
Pizza Night @ Red Vest Pizza
Pizza Night was a mixed success, as we had 61 people attend over the five-hour period. Unfortunately, most of the revenues went toward paying the DJ's $80 fee. Hopefully next time will be more successful. See the Gallery
Fall 2002 AGS regional conference
The Fall 2002 AGS regional conference was fairly uneventful. The theme of the conference was diversity, and RCC offered a total of six workshops on various topics. Keynote speaker was Mr. Rosa, the only remaining survivor of World War II's "Death March". See the Gallery
