The Learning Resource Center is a hub of activities designed for student success. If you are currently enrolled in courses at LAMC the Learning Center is here to support you. We offer a variety of services free of charge. We offer tutoring and workshops for writing, science, mathematics, economics, accounting, and more. These resources serve all LAMC students and are designed for the successful completion of your classes, your persistence to transfer level courses or your earning certificates.
The Academic Success Center Writing Lab is located on the first floor of the LRC Building (Main Campus) for help with your written assignments. Science students can join study groups or receive one-on-one tutoring in the Science Success Center (East Campus, CMS Building) in CMS-101. Math students can meet with tutors one-on-one or in groups for assistance in the Math Lab (first floor, LRC Building) and at the STEM Center (East Campus, CMS Building) in CMS-121.
We have over 100 new computers equipped with reading, writing, and mathematics programs that can be used for class assignments or to improve your academic skills. All computers have updated versions of Microsoft Office365. The Learning Resource Center offers printing if you create a digital print account at the LAMC Business office; there is a charge of 10 cents per page. Check the schedule for each area by clicking on its link in the Learning Resource Center home page.
