Los Angeles Mission College's 2019 Commencement will take place on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at 6:00 p.m., on the Main Campus Quad. Commencement invitations along with other information for graduates will be emailed to student LACCD Email accounts on May 14. Please be sure to check your e-mail account.

Guests

You may invite as many guests as you like. They do not need tickets to attend. All guests are encouraged to arrive early as seating is first come, first served.

ADA Accommodations

Graduates and guests with disabilities who require accommodations should contact Vice President Daniel Villanueva at 818-364-7772 by 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019 to make their request.

Guests approved for accommodations will be issued wristbands to access the reserved area and will be allowed one companion. All guests are encouraged to arrive early as seating is first come, first served.

Honors

Students graduating with honors may purchase honor cords at the Eagles Landing Student Store to wear over their graduation gowns. The honor cords are $10. 

Diplomas

Spring graduates should receive their diplomas in the Fall 2019 after Spring and Summer grades are verified. You will be notified by email (your district student email) when your diploma is ready to be picked up from the Admissions and Records Office.

Photographs

Photographers from Grad Images will take pictures of graduates as they walk on stage. Students who pre-register before graduation day will receive a 20 percent discount on their entire order. Visit www.gradimages.com/preregistration for details.

Parking Information

Free parking for graduates and their guests will be available in the Parking Structure. The entrance to the Parking Structure is on Eldridge Avenue. Please keep in mind the large number of visitors on campus on this special day and allow extra time for parking and walking to the commencement site. Disabled Parking spaces will be available in the first level of the Parking Structure. Click Here for Campus Map

Important Reminder

Blow horns and other noisemakers are not permitted at Graduation. They are disruptive to the ceremony. Please be mindful and respectful of the graduates, their families, and friends in attendance.  

Commencement Giftware

On the day of commencement, gift items including leis, roses, and other flowers will be available for purchase near the Parking Structure and at the north, east and south entrances to the campus. Look for our booths for snacks, bottled water, and more. You may also visit the student store for any other items or supplies or call 818-364-7798. Eagles Landing Student Store business hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. They are currently closed on Fridays.

Cap and Gown

Eagles Landing Student Store is selling the graduation cap and gown (set w/ tassel) for $26.95 plus tax. A premium tassel is available for $10. 

Class Ring

Ring information is available at the student store. A representative from Academic Cap & Gown will be on campus in June (TBD). 

Schedule

Graduation Ceremony Rehearsal
Monday, June 3

  • 3:30 p.m. - GRADUATES REPORT TO THE CAMPUS CENTER MAIN (ENTER THROUGH DOUBLE DOORS)
  • 3:55 p.m. - GRADUATES LINE UP, EXIT THE CAMPUS CENTER, AND PROCEED TO THE CAMPUS QUAD

All students planning to participate in the Commencement Exercises should attend the Commencement Rehearsal which begins in the Campus Center at 3:30 p.m. Rehearsal is approximately 1.5 hours.

 

Graduation Ceremony
Tuesday, June 4 

  • 5:00 p.m. -  GRADUATES ARRIVE AT THE CAMPUS CENTER TO PICK UP NAME CARDS
  • 5:35 p.m. -  GRADUATES, PLATFORM PARTY, AND FACULTY ASSEMBLE FOR THE PROCESSIONAL
  • 6:00 p.m. -  PROCESSIONAL BEGINS

Commencement exercises will be held in the Campus Quad. Graduates arrive at the Campus Center by 5:00 p.m. to receive their name cards from college staff.
